Biography

Gerald "Jerry" Myers Bolling was born in Greensboro on December 17, 1930. He attended Curry High School and continued his education at Elon College, laying the foundation for a life marked by dedication to both career and community.

Jerry began his professional journey in sales at John Robbins Motor Company and later retired from Ford Body Company in 1992. His commitment to service extended beyond his career. He was the Charter President of Gate City Rotary from 1991 to 1992 and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Rotary Foundation Service Award in 1993.

A devoted leader, Jerry served for 14 years as Scout Master for Boy Scout troop 214 at West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro. He was also past Master of Greensboro Masonic Lodge #76, a member of the Guilford Grays, and served in the United States Marine Corps.

Jerry passed away peacefully on May 15, 2010, leaving behind a legacy of service, leadership, and community involvement.
