Biography

Chartered on April 27, 1899, the United Daughters of the Confederacy was formed from the existing Greensboro Ladies Memorial Association.

The chapter was instrumental in erecting and commemorating the "Our Confederate Dead" marker in Green Hill Cemetery, which honors Confederate soldiers.

The United Daughters of the Confederacy is an organization focused on historical, benevolent, educational, memorial, and patriotic goals. Its aims include honoring Confederate soldiers, preserving Confederate history, and providing charitable aid.
