Biography
Raymond Howard Barbee Sr. was born February 7, 1931, in Guilford County, and was raised in the Greensboro area. Raymond entered the United States Army, where he served during the Korean War.
Following his military service, Raymond returned home to Greensboro, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was remembered as a dedicated family man, a hardworking North Carolinian, and a veteran who carried his service with quiet pride.
He passed away on January 19, 1993, at the age of 61, and is buried at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.
