The Memorial Bricks

The Guilford County Veterans Memorial contains a Ring of Bricks, engraved with the names of those who are remembered for Service to the Nation. The individual bricks are for those who served in all our wars from the Spanish-American War to the War in Bosnia.

Examples of Keyword Searches

Use a variety of terms to identify the brick you're searching for, including the veteran's name or nickname. Use the branch of service or particular ship or battle. Case does not matter.

If you search for the word Vietnam, you will see ALL bricks with "Vietnam" on them. If you search for multiple words, you will see all bricks that have ANY of those words. If you put words in quotation marks, like "John Smith," you will find bricks with ONLY the two words "John Smith" together.

• "Battle of the Bulge" (will return only "Battle of the Bulge")
• US Army (will return "US" and "Army" bricks)
• Vietnam War (Will return all bricks with either "Vietnam" or "War")

Please note: the final bricks are being installed at the Memorial. We are re-shooting all brick photos when the work is done. Some current photos are not "up to par" because we are waiting for the bricks to be finished before taking new and better photos. If you see unlinked results, then the bricks have not yet been installed.
