Guilford County Memorial Day
At 2:00pm our Executive Officer Al Stewart, will direct the program. Our speaker will be COL Charles Jones USMC (ret). COL Jones is a 30-year (combined active duty and Reserves) Veteran. He was a JAG Attorney with the Marine Corps and is a vocal advocate for the military and a frequent writer to the Greensboro News and Record on conservative issues.
Color Guard — 82nd Airborne Division, US Army, Fort Bragg, NC.
Parking
VIP and Handicapped — Parking will be in the paved lot off Orman Road. Those who are handicapped can drive up to the Memorial entrance.
General Public — Parking for the General Public will be in the main paved lot near the ball fields at Greensboro Country Park. Take the entrance to Lewis Recreation Center (Forest Lawn Drive) off Pisgah Church Road, park at the end of the lot near the ball fields.
Participation in the Steve Millikin Black Caps veterans Group is open to all persons with military experience, as well as persons interested in supporting America’s Military. The group meets four times each year for breakfast, as well as for Memorial Day and Veterans Day at a Sunday afternoon program at Country Park (Guilford County Veterans’ Memorial).
